Mindfulness Workshop for Adults with ADHD and/or Anxiety

Terry Huff, LCSW, author of Living Well with ADHD, is offering a 3-hour workshop on meditation, ADHD and anxiety. Research shows that mindfulness practice improves concentration, attention regulation, self-observation, working memory, and emotion regulation.

The workshop will include lecture, practice, and discussion and will address:
1. Why meditate?
2. Some basics of practice
2. Special challenges for adults with ADHD
3. Different practices for
a. selective attention (focusing)
b. open awareness (expanding)
c. compassion (for self and other)

The fee is $50 and is due by the registration deadline of August 16; $60 after.
